There's no two ways about it: Winston Churchill was a highly influential and important leader of Great Britain. Not only was he Prime Minister of Great Britain for both World Wars, but he also served in the military. Churchill inspired many after him, including Anthony Eden (1897-1877), his own successor for the role of Prime Minister. Before Churchill retired, Eden worked alongside him as foreign secretary. After taking up the role of Prime Minister, he continued governing in the methods of Churchill, changing Great Britain's governing style.
Also, Churchill changed the future of the world by not giving in to Nazi Germany, also saving Europe from Nazi-domination. His noteworthy speeches, quotes, and propaganda posters gave hope to citizens of America and Great Britain. Churchill also was the first recipient of the Honorary Citizen of the US award (though he was not a citizen of the US) for allying with the US and supporting them during the war. Without this alliance, organized with the help of Churchill, WWII may have had a very different outcome.
